About us
Our mission
-About Us: We strive to create new solutions to a old issue and give a helping hand for such important service. Even though we could grow large, we kept small. We keep our overhead low to pass the savings directly onto you, and we strictly run individual projects one at a time to insure your home gets our undivided attention. This means our owner personally oversees every single underbelly seal, ensuring that your ductwork is seamlessly wrapped and your barrier is air-locked exactly to code. We don't juggle multiple jobs, because we believe your home deserves our absolute best work, from the first seal to the final inspection."
Florida law is clear: any repair or remodeling of a mobile home must use materials and designs equivalent to the original construction. This includes the critical "air barrier" that protects your living space from the hazardous environment underneath your home.
Why "Just a Barrier" Isn't Enough Most homes are built with approximately 35 specific air infiltration leaks that standard contractors ignore. Our process addresses all 35 points in three main stages:
Sub-Floor Inlets: We seal the oversized holes drilled by plumbers, electricians, and cable installers that act as "chimneys," pulling in outside air.
The Sub-Floor Air Barrier: We go beyond standard installs to ensure the "belly wrap" is a true moisture and pest-proof seal.
Sub-Floor Ductwork: We seal the AC lines that run under your home, preventing the system from sucking mold and allergens into your vents.
Approach to work
Personalized solutions
At Mobile Home Vapor Barriers LLC, we were once as unaware of these defects as anyone else. But after seeing the devastating impact on residents’ health and homes, our conscience demanded a change. Over the last 10 years, we have been dedicated to full code compliance and total transparency. We don’t just say we seal your home; we provide the video evidence and blueprints to prove it.
Attention to detail
What exactly is Florida Code 15C-2.0081? This state regulation requires that any repair or remodeling of a mobile home must use materials and designs equivalent to the original construction. For vapor barriers, this means the home must be returned to its factory-sealed state, closing all 35 air infiltration points that were part of the original design. Most contractors ignore this, performing "ordinary repairs" that don't meet the full structural requirements of the code.
Clear communication
What is the "Stack Effect" and why is it dangerous? The Stack Effect (or chimney effect) happens when warm air rises and escapes through the top of your home, creating a vacuum that pulls cold, humid air in from the bottom 35 open floor and duct openings. In Florida mobile homes, this "bottom air" comes from the crawlspace, carrying mold spores, moisture, and pests directly into your living area.
